BETWEEN REALMS

Formed mid April 2023 in California gold country just outside one the first and possibly most influential American gold mining settlements Sutter's Fort, in Hangtown CA. Founded by producer and guitarist Jonny Burnett ex (13 Thrones, Sovern) and guitarist Hayden Taylor ex (The Descolada Virus) the two whom share a 27 year long “and counting” friendship came together to deliver their tasteful new take on Death Metal. While seasoned with hints of Thrash and Black Metal inspiration and finished off with a proper roasting of 80's style guitar solos/harmonies. Between Realms is undoubtedly carving a new path for metal music and giving listeners a breath of fresh air. By the end of April with the song writing and tracking already underway, Jonny and Hayden began what turned to be a six month search of recruiting for the final members to complete the group. The pair brought in vocalist Monte Barnard ex (Thy Art Is Murder, Fallujah) drummer Gabe Seeber of (Vale on Pnath, Alterbeast, The Kennedy Veil) and eventually bassist Tyler Hawkins ex (The Kennedy Veil). With heavy artillery now on the roster the lineup was complete. Meanwhile, songwriting and tracking for the debut record “From Boundless Black” continued over the next six months all self tracked by Jonny at his house and home to the “THE BLOODY NINE” studios. With a plan and determination to release the record in May of 2024, they accomplished exactly that. As planned the record went on to be self released on the 29th of May, 2024 and quickly spread through the country peaking massive interest and gaining immeasurable traction. Moving on to over 76 countries almost overnight the debut record had solidified Between Realms as one of the new great bands in metal music.

The “From Boundless Black” debut EP was written and tracked over a six month period consisting of three seperate recording locations.
